An historic event for SDNA!

The first-ever training event in our new SDNA building was held Nov. 7&8, 2008, when Kevin Slimp presented training on Photoshop, InDesign and Adobe Flash. Despite a blizzard that hit the state the day before, more than two dozen SDNA members and others made it to Brookings for the workshop.

The Move is Made!

Wednesday, May 14, 2008, was a beautiful day for an office move. Movers started loading boxes and stuff from our old office at 8 a.m. and by 4 p.m. they had unloaded everything from two large trucks into the new office. (Now if I can only find my coffee cup!) We're up and running at the new location -- 1125 32nd Ave. in Brookings. Phones work. Computers work. Everyone's working. And loving the new digs! Thank you for the generosity and support of so many SDNA members and friends to help make this day come true. The coffee's always on. Stop by if you're in the neighborhood. Look for more information soon regarding an open house this summer.

Work Accelerates on Building

Cold weather has not slowed the work of Robbins Construction on the SDNA building. Within a matter of a few weeks, the Robbins crew had the building framed up and enclosed. Now, they are working inside framing up walls and insulating walls. Electrical work will begin soon. The top photo is a view inside the main office room. This room will have a vaulted ceiling. The middle photo shows the backside of the building. The third photo is from the parking lot on the south side of the building.

New Year Brings Progress to Project

Despite the cold and snow, Robbins Construction moves forward on the building as the new year gets underway. The exterior walls are framed up and rafters are being installed now. You can't see it in this photo but the studs for many of the inside walls are up too. Before long, the building will be enclosed for much warmer work inside.
